Responsibilities and Office
The Information and Communication Executive of the Uzbekistan Students Union (UzSU) is pivotal in amplifying the Union’s voice and fostering engagement among Uzbek students in the United Kingdom. This role focuses on enhancing UzSU’s digital presence, developing creative media strategies, and producing impactful campaigns that showcase the Union’s initiatives and achievements. By crafting consistent, high-quality content across social media platforms and visual channels, the Executive ensures UzSU’s message reaches a wide and diverse audience strengthening cultural identity, promoting active participation, and inspiring a shared sense of community.
The Information and Communication Office serves as the creative and strategic centre of UzSU, responsible for shaping the Union’s brand identity and maintaining cohesive communication across all departments. Working closely with the Presidential, Events, and Academic Affairs Offices, the InfoCom team aligns messaging, manages media collaborations, and creates promotional materials that reflect UzSU’s mission and values. Through innovation, storytelling, and data-driven outreach, the office enhances UzSU’s visibility and credibility, ensuring every communication resonates with authenticity and purpose while contributing to a unified narrative of empowerment, inclusion, and progress across the UK student community.
Biography
Bakhromjon Tursunboev is a First-Class graduate in Marketing Management from Brunel University London, with a deep passion for marketing, media, and tourism. Since the founding of the Uzbekistan Students Union (UzSU), Bakhromjon has played an active role in its development initially volunteering at more than seven events before becoming a Volunteer Coordinator, later advancing to Head of Information and Communications, and now serving as InfoCom Executive and Deputy General Secretary.
Through these progressive roles, Bakhromjon has developed a strong understanding of the Union’s organizational structure and strategic goals. He has contributed to creative communication strategies, brand storytelling, and content production that expand UzSU’s reach and engagement. His current focus lies in developing an integrated marketing approach to strengthen brand awareness and help newly arrived Uzbek students adapt to life in the UK both academically and socially through clear, accessible, and inspiring communication.
Outside UzSU, Bakhromjon recently completed an internship at the Tourism Committee under the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan, working within the Foreign Relations and Statistics Department. There, he explored international cooperation in tourism development and applied his three years of hospitality experience from London’s hotel sector to support research on sustainable tourism and global outreach initiatives.
Driven by the belief that meaningful communication builds stronger communities, Bakhromjon continues to lead with creativity, dedication, and purpose. His work reflects UzSU’s vision of empowering students through connection, culture, and collaboration ensuring the Union remains a dynamic and inclusive home for all Uzbek students in the UK and beyond.
