Operations Executive
The Operations Executive at the Uzbek Student Union (UZSU) leads the Operations Office, coordinating people, timelines, budgets, and partners to deliver safe, on-time activities.
Operations team:
- Event management: plan and deliver cultural and academic programmes.
- Logistics and procurement: venues, catering, travel, equipment, schedules.
- Volunteer recruitment and rostering.
- Partnerships and sponsorships: outreach, proposals, agreements.
- Communications and stakeholder liaison (embassy, societies, venues).
- Data, reporting, and continuous improvement (post-event reviews).
By systemising workflows and maintaining clear standards, the Operations Executive enables impactful initiatives and a supportive community for Uzbek students across the UK and Northern Ireland. It is the Union’s operational backbone.
Biography of the Executive
Claudia is currently pursuing an MSc in Nanotechnology at the University of Oxford. She previously earned her BSc in Neuroscience from the University of Edinburgh. Born and raised in Uzbekistan and having spent several years studying in the UK, Claudia places great value on her role within the Uzbek Student Union (UZSU). She is deeply committed to fostering communication among Uzbek students and residents, ensuring that UZSU remains a welcoming and vibrant community for Uzbeks and those from Central Asian backgrounds — one that offers meaningful and lasting experiences. As a dynamic and supportive network of Uzbek students in the UK, UZSU aims to build strong connections through cultural heritage, academic enrichment, and professional development. Claudia’s vision is to bring together the future leaders of Uzbekistan by creating engaging and empowering opportunities throughout the year. Previously serving as an Events Oversight Officer, Claudia has enjoyed collaborating with the operations team as well as colleagues in the communications office and the general secretary branch. Her strong ties with the Uzbek community at Oxford position her well to contribute not only locally, but across universities throughout the UK with energy and dedication.
